Food and Drink It is difficult not to eat (and drink) well in Brussels. The Belgians have a very low tolerance for poor cuisine, so you are virtually guaranteed good quality wherever you go. Luckily, our favoured hotel is in a lively and "up-and-coming" part of the city centre, blessed with many good bars, and where a number of excellent restaurants are being established (particularly the Rue Antoine Dansaert, where we have eaten at three restaurants). This also meant that we have been able to move away from the typical moules/steak/frites tourist menus and sample Moroccan, French and Greek food.
There is a write-up of all of the Restaurants where we have had a main evening meal, and a page on some of the many Bars and cafés we have visited. There are also links to relevant websites, and some pictures.
It is also worth looking at the excellent on-line restaurant listing - Resto.be. This has a fairly comprehensive database of information on Belgain restaurants, with on-line booking available for some. The site also enables you to rate individual restaurants, and see other peoples' comments. Well worth a look.
