For Summer 2001 we are planning another mini odyssey in Scandinavia - this time we really are going in the wake of the Vikings. Starting off with a few days in Copenhagen - a city we know fairly well now - we will be taking an overnight ferry to Oslo, then by rail across the mountains to Bergen on Norway's fjord coast, and finishing up a little further down the Norwegian coast at Stavanger.
Norway is a new country for us, and we are really looking forward to seeing Oslo. The mountains and fjords of the Norwegian coast will also be an unusual experience for us - most of our travels over the past few years have been to relatively low-lying regions.
On these pages you can see a proposed itinerary (with map), and the usual notepad with lots of links, resources and miscellaneous information that we have gathered together in planning the trip.
