Comments:

Good value small modern 4-star hotel on the banks of the Danube, just below the castle district, and opposite the Parliament building.

We stayed here for five nights in September 2000. The rooms are large and nicely furnished, with huge wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Danube, and Pest on the other side. It is a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro (Batthyány tér), but there are trams which run along the embankment outside the hotel.

OK-looking 3-star hotel right opposite the main railway station, which will be handy! Reasonable rates, given how expensive most hotels in Zagreb are.

Comments:

Brand new 4-star hotel built in 2004. A little out of the city centre, need the trade fair site, but excellent value given the generalprices for hotels in Ljubljana.

Comments:

Very attractive looking 15th/16th century hotel (4-star) on the high street in the old town, about 500m from the station. Emperors (Holy Roman, and otherwise), Kings, Dukes and Arch-Dukes have all stayed here over the past 500 years.

Comments:

Small, 4-star hotel close to the museum quarter. Looks a bit different from the usual Vienna hotel style, and at a reasonable rate.
