4½ countries, 5 cities, and 35,000 islands Plus planes, trains and more boats! Having done a series of short trips and weekend breaks in 1998, we've decided to go for a "big" holiday this year. We'll be spending 20 days this summer travelling by train and ferry around the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Finland (see map below).
We have put together the itinerary ourselves, by stitching together package deals and making our own arrangements, largely over the Internet. It took about a month to research, make enquiries, and book accomodation and the key travel sections, but everything is now confirmed, and we have all the tickets and vouchers too!
