Visit Tourist office at Sweden House, Kungsträdgården. Get information on archipelago boat trips and tours to Birka.
Continue walk: Nybroplan, Nybrohamnen (quayside), Stallgatan, Strömgatan (quayside), Riksbron (bridge), Riksdagshusset (Parliament buildings), Stallbron (bridge) to Gamla Stan (the Old Town).
Decide that it is getting a bit chilly, so return to hotel via T-bana from Gamla Stan station. |

Walk around Södermalm [Jackdaws] |
| Afternoon | Train trip to Nynäshamn.
Walk around the town, hill-top church, and marina.
Drink on deck of boat in the marina.
Return to Stckholm by train. |

Drink at 'The Down Under Bar' (can't really recommend it) |

Saturday
1 August | Morning | Boat from Nybroviken to the island of Vaxholm in the Stockholm Archipelago.
Coffee and yummy homemade cake at the Gröna Cafet just off the Town Square.
Walk round Vaxholm |
| Afternoon | Return to Stockholm by bus to Tekniska Högskolan
Walk down Valhallavägen, a long wide tree-lined avenue, to...
Walk to Strandvägen then bus to Djurgården terminus.
(very) late lunch at an attractive cafe on the hill in the Djurgården park. |
| Evening | Meet Dave McI at his hotel on Södermalm.
Dinner at Kvarnen (Swedish)
Drink at Cafe Häcktet
Got caught-up in Stockholm's annual Midnight Run! We were simply spectators although trying to get back to Dave McI's hotel proved difficult. |

2 August | Morning | Wine and Spirit Museum

| Afternoon | Lunch at the Husset gay centre.
Tram to Djurgården
Visit Vasa museum.
Quick tour of Viking boats and exhibits - part of the "Viking Invasion" weekend
Walk along Djurgården quayside, Ferry from Grona Lund Tivoli to Slussen |
| Evening | Dinner at Restaurang Dionysos (Greek)
Walk around Gamla Stan (again), including Stortorget ("great square") and Kungliga Slottet (the Royal Palace) [soldiers!]
Return to hotel armed with chocholate for a quiet and relaxing end to the day. |
